Marketplace⚡Mastery #99: 🚨 see who’s sending your competitors traffic (and steal it), Amazon ecommerce domination project and more
Hey sellers! SmartScout just dropped a new feature that shows exactly which blogs and websites are driving affiliate traffic to your competitors + the Amazon Starfish Project + Prime Day 2025 analysis and more
🛑 Attention Amazon Sellers
SmartScout’s new Traffic Links feature gives your competitors’ external traffic strategy: which blogs and websites are actively linking to a certain Amazon listings (yup, most of them monetizing through Amazon Associates / Influencers / Affiliates).
That means they’re already sending high-intent traffic to products in your niche so you can pitch them to get that traffic to your listings too.
Check the following image. I’m checking Link Traffic for a Samsung 990 PRO SSD hard drive for gaming. So I can identify different websites already sending traffic to the ASIN.
This feature is available on the SmartScout Business plan and you can get it with a 25% off using the code AMAZONTOOLS25.

đź“° What you need to know
👉 This is what turning around a dying $10M/year Amazon brand really looks like: 24 months straight of losses to finally hit target profit margin. An interesting thread by Ecommerce Jack
👉 Amazon’s automation can’t catch everything and that’s money you’re losing. I’ve helped clients recover nearly €2M that would’ve been left on the table, check how I did it.
👉 Prime Day 2025 analysis by Envision Horizons concludes that, once again, timing and execution is everything. This year’s PD wasn’t just about deals, but a strategic preview of what’s coming for Q4:
Day 1 dominated with 42% of total sales
Brands that used deeper price cuts (particularly strikethroughs over coupons) saw better visibility without increasing costs
73% increase in customer LTV
26% more new-to-brand shoppers
Prime Day is no longer just about acquisition, but building long-term value.
AI-powered search and curated carousels through Rufus elevated brand exposure for listings optimized with natural language and rich content.
So, thinking about Q4: October success will go to those who prepare now with smarter pricing, better PDPs and AI-friendly content.

👉 Amazon’s Project Starfish uses AI to turn the company’s marketplace into the world’s most complete and reliable source of product information.
Internally launched in late 2024, the project uses LLMs to scrape, synthesize and enrich product data from over 200,000 brand websites, external images and even third-party listings.
The goal? To automatically generate product titles, bullet points and descriptions that are accurate, relevant, and conversion-optimized dramatically reducing the workload for sellers while improving catalog quality at scale.
The internal projections are expected to drive an additional $7.5 billion in gross merchandise sales in 2025.
Beyond just improving listings, the project supports features like “Buy for Me,” allowing users to shop products from other websites within the Amazon app. This signals Amazon’s growing ambition to compete not only in eCommerce, but as the default source for product discovery by (also) crushing Google Shopping and OpenAI’s ChatGPT on the way.
