Marketplace⚡Mastery #158: Amazon's AI wants your ad budget + Seller Central now runs Walmart

Hey sellers! Amazon Ads Agent wants to run your media plan, Seller Central now manages Walmart, eBay, Shopify and TikTok Shop, and Prime Big Deal Days lands October 6-7.

What you need to know

At unBoxed in San Francisco, Amazon renamed its unified platform Amazon Ads Agent.

It's no longer just a chat interface but an AI layer covering planning, campaign creation, optimization, measurement and support aka the “Full-Funnel Campaigns” builder: sponsored ads, display, video, DSP and streaming TV in one campaign.

You pick products, creative and budget, and Amazon's AI decides execution, optimizing toward new-to-brand customers and Long-Term Sales.

You approve creative, but you can't choose individual channels or audiences, and visibility stops at the format level. DVA+ merges Sponsored Display, Sponsored TV and programmatic display, video and audio into one buying experience.

It has a simple mode, plus advanced settings that keep control over targeting, deals, supply, frequency and bidding.

Oh, I’m an agency / consultant, they’re killing me! Stay with me. This means: less operational work but, also, less visibility and control. Amazon is asking you to state a goal and trust the machine with the rest. Would you trust them? Neither do sellers working with agencies (for the moment).

🗞 News

👉 Seller Central now runs your Walmart, eBay, Shopify and TikTok Shop business
as announced at Accelerate. Amazon's new multichannel tools are rolling out gradually to U.S. sellers at no extra cost.

You edit a description once and Amazon publishes it to your linked eBay, Walmart and Shopify listings. Shopify and Walmart orders show up next to your Amazon orders and can be fulfilled through Amazon, and a profitability view breaks down earnings per product per channel.

Amazon says the data won't inform its retail business, good joke.

👉 This is big! Review Requests launches in open beta in the United States in late October 2026. This new advertising solution reaches customers who recently purchased your product and invites them to submit a star rating or written review while they are shopping on Amazon.

You create and manage campaigns in Amazon Ads Agent using the same bidding and budget controls you use for your other Amazon Ads campaigns.

👉 How brands show up in Alexa for Shopping, a massive study with 100k prompts by SEO/GEO Mastermind Andrew Bell

👉 Prime Big Deal Days is October 6-7 The 48-hour event starts at 12:01 a.m. PDT, and Prime members in 22 countries can shop it (dates may vary by country). Shoppers can use Alexa for Shopping to set deal alerts and target prices, turn on Auto-Buy, and check up to 365 days of price history, so fake discounts will be easy to spot.

👉 Amazon launches LA-to-East Coast direct rail for inventory with Standard Ocean Express routes goods through the Los Angeles port with direct rail to East Coast fulfillment centers.

Amazon says transit is faster than standard routing, which cuts out-of-stock risk in high-demand periods. It's available for Seller Managed Placement bookings under Amazon Global Logistics, and ocean rates show at booking next to estimated delivery windows. Pricing wasn't disclosed.

👉 Amazon Business now combines offers from multiple suppliers in one B2B order
With Multi-Supplier Bulk Buy, a buyer who needs 40 headphones can get 10 units from Supplier A at $120 and 30 from Supplier B at $116.

As Martin Heubel points out, this makes distributors' discounted offers on your products more visible and more relevant, because Amazon can now bundle them into bigger B2B baskets. Before negotiating extra Amazon Business discounts in your next AVN, check what your distribution network is already offering. Read the post.

👉 Your customers don't buy at 3 a.m., so stop bidding like they do.

Download the hourly Sponsored Products report for the last 14 days and consolidate 2-3 periods to get 30-45 days of data. Build a table that adds up spend, sales, orders and clicks for each hour. Cut bids 15-20% in the dead slots where the CPC holds but revenue per click drops to zero, and raise them in the hours when revenue per click spikes.

Combine both moves and you'll improve TACoS without wasting a cent, which matters when Big Deal Days traffic arrives in waves. Extracted from my ebook Amazon Advertising Hacks.
