Hey sellers! Amazon's synthetic personas just went live, unauthorized resellers are now locked out, and Prime Day drops June 23 to 26.
🛑 Attention Amazon Sellers!
Amazon rolled out "Know Before You Buy," the shopper-facing layer of its Comprehensive Synthetic Personas (as reported by Spencer Millerberg), and it's already showing on many PDPs.
Shoppers now see personalized product context tied to their purchase history and an assigned persona like Value Seeker, Minimalist, or DIY Enthusiast.
Logged in with history, you get tailored insights. New account, you get the most common persona. Not logged in, you see nothing. Amazon is also folding customer returns data into the experience for the first time.
This changes how listings get read, as your bullets and copy now have to speak to context: who, what, when, where, and why for your highest-volume personas, not just list specs.

👉 Reseller lockout started June 1. Selling partners now need an official reseller role assigned by your brand to create ASINs on your products. No role? No new ASINs, and any attempt throws error code 5467.
Existing ASINs aren't touched, only registered Brand Registry admins can grant roles, and Amazon won't mediate disputes. Audit your Brand Registry admin access today and assign roles only to partners you've actually authorized.
👉 Prime Day 2026 runs June 23 to 26 and kicks off at 12:01 a.m. PDT on June 23 with deals across more than 35 categories, exclusively for Prime members. Members can use Alexa for Shopping to build a personalized Deals Guide and set deal alerts ahead of time.

👉 Amazon is now selling its AI shopping tech to other retailers with the new AWS Agentic Shopping Assistant, which lets retailers launch their own conversational AI agents in weeks instead of building from scratch, customized to their brand voice and assortment.
