This has always been Amazon’s dream: anticipate your needs and selling stuff you want + stuff you didn’t know you wanted.

Amazon reports 60 percent of the 250 million users who accessed Rufus became more likely to complete purchases. Intelligent agents are shifting commerce from automation to high-context guidance.

Global sales assisted by chatbots and agents hit $14.2 billion, with $3 billion in the U.S.
👉 ChatGPT referrals to retail apps jumped 28 percent year over year, and OpenAI’s tool is becoming a meaningful discovery channel, especially for Amazon and Walmart, which captured 54 percent and 14.9 percent of all referrals. The overall slice is small, but it’s growing fast. Adobe confirms the trend: AI-driven traffic to U.S. retail sites surged 805 percent on Black Friday and 670 percent on Cyber Monday.
So… long story short: if brands don’t build an AI strategy now, they risk being invisible by 2026. Algorithms are training today on the brands that show up.
