• Amazon is suppressing ASINs on search and notifying LEGIT sellers it’s related to review manipulation. For example, a friend was suspended for getting a lot of reviews in a short time. Had he manipulated any reviews? Nope, just done a strong advertising campaign outside of Amazon. Final joke: you can’t reply to the email.

• Amazon is ordered to pay $2.25M and shut down “Sold by Amazon” Program, following a recent investigation by the attorney general of Washington.

• Amazon Retail operating income is sinking when you compare Amazon Retail OI’s with vs without Advertising.

• 93% of Amazon sellers lost revenue from supply chain disruptions.

• Did I just say “supply chain disruptions”? Seems that we have a superhero for that: Ryan Petersen at Flexport, a technology platform for Global Logistics. Look at Forbes front cover:

I mean, ok, the guy has a revolutionary software for Supply Chain but, as if Supply Chain problems were merely a matter of better tech. Well, hope I’m wrong.

• Retailers are building their own ad businesses to compete with Amazon. “To compete with Amazon”, FFS I’ve read that so many times… Amazon’s Ad Business was “just” $31B last year so, good luck competing with them.

• Blacklisted Chinese sellers flock to Walmart. As I just said “good luck competing with them”.
