✅Amazon slashes 3P inventory limits

For more than a week, Amazon has been slashing 3rd party sellers' inventory limits. Some Sellers have seen their inventory limits cut off by almost 80% I have my own theory but Molson Hart, which is way smarter than me, has another one: Amazon has insufficient labor for Q4

✅Amazon Q3 results

Amazon posted Q3 results last week. Some highlights:

  • Operating income: -$2.5B YoY

  • North America sales: +20 YoY

  • Non-US sales: -5% YoY

  • Net income: -$2.9B

  • Operating cash flow: -27% YoY

  • As you may imagine, Amazon stocks are down.

Alex at Honest Entrepreneurs brings you boys an interesting hack for product research using Helium 10: find new products and understand why they’re performing great on Amazon.

You can find Alex’s Twitter thread here (find a H10 discount in the last tweet).

  1. Go to Helium 10’s Black Box

  2. Apply pricing, category, fulfillment… filters

  3. Apply the “listing age (months)” filter: from 1 to 6

  4. Find the winning products. This is the ones with the better sales / revenue / reviews / sales to review scoring

  5. Reverse engineer the data asking questions like:

    1. What price did they launch at?

    2. What USP did they have?

    3. How have they made their listings?

    4. Do they have other products?

    5. What's the niche look like?

  6. Apply the learnings to your products / niche

On this newsletter’s last edition I told you this guys knew their stuff and I’m sticking to it.
